Default Crappie Jon

I guess this is as good a place as any to ask a question. I'm considering getting an Alumacraft Crappie Jon. Probably with a 9.9 and bow mount trolling motor without foot control.

Does anyone here have any experience with such a setup? I'll mainly be fishing smaller water (Gibson County Lake, etc.) and maybe the occasional trip to Cuba Landing or the Caney to fish with friends.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have a 15 foot tracker Jon boat, with a tiller 10hp Tohatsu four-stroke and trolling motor.
I primarily fish Caney Fork, with me and a partner we top out around 14 mph going upstream against generation. On a flat water like around 20 mph. Honestly don't think I would want to go much faster than that LOL. The Aluma craft you're looking at would be a little heavier though.
