Only had one bite, striperwise. Caught this 7 lb 10 oz rockfish on a fluke.
Finally gave it up and went and caught some crappie.
Lit my heater for about the first hour then didn't need it again. The 18 hour pocket warmers from Walmart did the trick the rest of the day.https://vimeo.com/198609061

It was a bit nippely this morning.

With no wind it was actually decent outside. I went to the stones here in town for about 30 minutes and fished. Water was to high for what I wanted to do.

Good to see you out there Merv. I didn't have any stripers on skippies. I caught 5 and used them all for bait.

What time did you leave?
I caught some crappies then got bored (and hungry), called it a day around 1.

Shortly after you did. When I was heading out I noticed you were gone.

I hear ya! i had the boat all charged up, rods rigged and ready. Walked ouside about 6:30am saturday and got a face full of stiff north wind, walked back inside and hopped back in bed. Cold is fine, windy is fine, but cold AND windy is just miserable. If im not ice fishing where i can turn my back to the wind, im gonna b hard pressed to dump a boat in the water. Lol.
No, i havent lost my northern roots, i just know when to pick my fishing battles. Lol
