Default Fly fishing for Striper

Does anybody have experience doing this? I was thinking about trying it out and wanted to hear if anybody else does this with success.

Thanks

I seen a few guys doing it along the bluffs across from the steamplant in the past. They were throwing big streamers and such.

Not specifically about TN, but I found this article about catching hybrids and whites interesting. I'm hoping to chase some with a fly rod this Spring.

I used to do it for hybrids. In my experience they are more aggressive and likely to go for the fly than pure striper. I also caught quite a few catfish on the fly. I guess they were in there exploiting the same shad that the hybrids were. There are some guys on NGTO that fish for them exclusively with the flyrod.
