Default Nice birthday at Nickajack!

Couldn't think of a better way to spend my 65th birthday than going fishing. Arrived at Nickajack at 8:00 a.m and left at 12:00 p.m. The bite was constant....even though around 10:30 a.m the wind got up to gusts close to 30 MPH. It drove all the fisherman off the lake...including me eventually. I caught around 40 crappie today. More than enough measured out for a limit of 15. The big boys have not shown yet...hoping in two weeks to catch nothing but 12-14 inch fish. Used a Bison colored Trout Magnet fishing the same as before.....12-14 feet deep on a ledge wall. The retrieve was very slow with a slight twitch. The setup today was a Major Craft FineTail Banshee Area Trout Rod 6' 7" UL....love fishing the JDM rods! When the crappie hit it feels like a bolt of lightning hits your hand...LOL. The line used was SOS 2# test. Just another fun filled day. Going to take a break tomorrow and will hit it again Thursday. Life is good!

Regards

1. Handsome
2. Very intelligant
3.Studs
4. FANTASTIC FISHERMEN

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY. HOPING YOU ENJOY MANY MORE.

Happy birthday. We can only hope to be going half as strong as you at 65.

Juice, catching is a simple thing. This is evidenced by the fact that you and Jimmy occasionally get one on the line.
Locating fish is the difficult part of fishing.
At 69, I am still trying to locate the fish. They ain't where they used to be.
