Me and my buddy Paul hit the lake again today after work. We caught a mixed bag of yellow bass, white bass, hybrid, drum and Paul even caught a 20" sauger. We were trolling in 12-15 feet of water.. Paul was using a Berkley flicker shad, one chartruese and one pink.. The pink was the one they were hitting. I used an Eppinger devil dog spoon 1/4 oz pearl and the hybrids and yellows were slamming it.
Yes, I actually didn't realize that sauger don't get much bigger than that..Researched a little about them and read that the average size is under a pound and normally don't reach above 18 inches. So he was definitely an above average sauger. When we were trying to net it and saw how big he was we initially thought it was a walleye.

Reason: grammar
That was my first sauger i caught on old hickory. I have been trying to get one for some time now. once i get a few more spots goin, i should be able to net some more. Packing my tackle box up with more walleye gear and getting ready for the fall season.
