Default Chronograph

Does anyone know of anyone who has a chronograph?

I need to know the speed of my crossbow in order to dial in my HHA Optimizer Speed Dial crossbow sight.

Matt Eddie the owner of Energy Wave bowstrings has one, he's located in Hermitage. He chrono'ed my bow between 283-287, not bad, but those crossbows can sure sling those bolts. My draw length is 28.5", and 70# draw, and Beman ICS Hunters

I don't want to buy one just to shoot through a few times.
I don't mind paying a fee to shoot through someone's chrono though.

Most paintball fields have them. In case you live near one. There's one off Central Pike..

Went to Matt Eddies house and shot through his chrono.
Three shots 289-291-290.
Kinda surprised that it was that slow but very consistent.
The advertised speed was 305.
I put on the HHA Speed Dial Optimizer and sighted in the bow out to 60 yds. Now, no guessing which dot to use, just dial up what you rangefinder and hold the cross hair on the target and hit it!
Got up in the treestand, shot a target at varying yardage from straight down out to 35 yds, (my longest available shot).
Worst hit was 2 inches right of a 2" dot. Most were in the dot.
I foresee some deer meat in the freezer very soon!

Glad you could hook up with Matt. That's slower than I would have thought. Good luck this year. There's a big 3D archery club here in Jacksonville, Sarah is bringing bows down next week, so I'll be back to shooting.
