Default Old hickory 8-15

Guys had not fished in 5 weeks do to work, rain, and being a whimp cause of heat. Put in at Cairo at day light and worked our way up above 231. Stayed on river and fished jigs and big worm. 1small keeper and 4 or 5 shorts. Lot of short hits. Temp was great. Felt good to be out there and forget about this crazy country we live in now. So greatful to the men and women have fought to give me freedom to do something I love so much. Best part was seeing my 19 yr old taking pics of the beautiful sunrise.

Man, the heat has been brutal!!! Glad you got out there and put some in the boat. As Jason Sealock said on Wired2fish, turn off the news and go fishing. Forget about this crazy world for a few hours and do what you love!!!

You are really close to catching some good ones. I've been fishing the upper end a lot lately. Mainly bc I never really fished above spring creek much. I wanted to learn the upper end. Ur around them but u need to get just off the main channel. Any kind of pocket or backwater with a lil depth and u will run into some decent fish at some point. Here's a few from the last couple days up there

Also a point to add. I've been catching fish on any bait imaginable up there but every single good fish I've caught up there has been on a 1/2 oz Stan Sloan spinnerbait in white and chartruce with a chartruce zoom spinnerbait trailer. Big gold willow and a small silver willow

That's what I'm trying to do. I can upload 5 but it only shows one. Now it won't let me upload anymore. I'm on my phone if that makes a difference

Skillet. I will go by flippers in the morning and see if flyers are out yet and try to post it. Will gladly mail you or anyone else a copy. They blast off by entry so anyone fishing tournament could mail them in or go by flippers to get early number.they usually have a raffle afterwards for prizes.
