Default Normandy kayak rental?

Has anyone rented a kayak in Normandy to go fishing? I've never fished that stretch of the duck before and I'm wondering how crowded it gets around there.

None of the pictures on the website show fish, so I'm thinking that stretch may be overrun with recreational traffic.

Thanks in advance.

There's a rental place in Normandy and another in Wartrace. I'm not really sure where the drop off is for either.

I've done ok fishing the duck in the Centerville area, and around Manchester to a lesser extent.

I'm torn between springing for a kayak rental or keeping up my usual strategy of driving around, looking for a good spot to wade.

DJ, The stretch of river you are referring to does get a lot of fishing pressure and sees a ton of recreational paddlers but mostly on the weekends

That's what I was afraid of. Oh well, I've marked a few new spots to try on the GPS.

I'll post a fishing report if I end up going. Thanks!

Any particular reason you decided that?

The high amount of paddlers going tru there, a lot of fishing disruption, most were nice and corteous but some were rude and some just plain drunk and the catch rate was declining a lot so decided for a quieter place (this was last year), this year I have fished the least due to work and family constraints so I have not been back, but fished heavily for more than a decade since 2000 and man it was a very nice place to fish

Thank you for this, that's exactly what I was afraid of.

I'm leaving in a half hour and still haven't decided where I'm going haha
