Default Fish Finder Question

I was wondering if I could put a fish finder like this https://www.amazon.com/Lowrance-000-...799826&sr=1-11 on a canoe if so how, and should I spend the extra $$$$ for a DI one. And what is a cheaper mount I could get or could I make one. I'm a bank fisherman so fish finders are very confusing to me . Any help is appreciated thanks.

If they can put an HDS on a kayak, that would go on a canoe

You can put just about any sonar made on a kayak or canoe.....seen a Helix 10 on a kayak.....saw a kayak one time had two HB 1199's on it.

Yes that model is designed for kayak applications. I would recommend the DI feature in conjunction with 2D sonar. DI is fantastic. Get this for the transducer - https://www.amazon.com/Scotty-Transd...1B6XSBM9RPAPVJ

So if I just wanted to get a DI sonar, could you recommend something to attach to the top of what you put in the link or do I not need anything else.
