Default Bedford Lake

Anybody been recently? Grew up going there every year with my grandfather in May targeting big BG and those eating size bass. He's been gone for years but I always found myself going back at this time every year for some reason. However, have skipped it the last couple of years because the lake seems to have had some problems. Thought about taking one of the kids and trying anyway.

I've eaten plenty of bass out of there too, it's great that they have regulations that make sense for harvesting - unlike our large reservoirs.

Unfortunately, the bass fishing has gone downhill lately. TWRA doesn't stock bass in there anymore that I know of. I've checked the stocking reports for over 2 years and have not seen 1 single bass stocked in there. All they stock is catfish by the thousands. That place has turned into a catfish farm. Other reports I've heard are the same, lots of catfish and gills but not many bass to speak of.
