Default Trout stocking

TWRA stocked the Harpeth today if anyone wants to try their luck. I stopped in and watched the fun awhile. I saw people catching with Trout magnets and small spinners, and the trout bite artificial baits.

Good luck

Where exactly do they stock the Harpeth from? I work down that way a lot and always wondered.

On 431, between Mack Hatcher and downtown Franklin. They built a parking lot for access.

Awesome, thanks. We have a few jobs right down the street. I'll have to throw an ultralight in my toolbox in the morning.

I took 3 kids on Saturday to Spring Hill. They caught 17. I caught 1 and put my pole down to help them. At one time they all had a fish on. Will try and post pictures. Made my day.

I used the orange trout bait at Walmart in a jar. Put a small ball on tiny hook, with a few split shot 2 feet up, and let it drift down Rapids by dam. I think I got 25 in 2 days. I released many and gave rest away. Fun catching while my boat is in the shop.

Seeing all these pictures of trout just makes me ready for the water to get lower below Normandy dam faster.

Its by where the old dam used to be, 821 Lewisburg pike, Franklin, TN. Caught plenty of fish on every trout mag Color, but threw pink and white the most, all on a Chartreuse head. Ended up with 44 one day and then 35 on the next, met some nice people there. It is a cool place.

Yes that is where they used to dump them. Easy pickings when that dam was there.
