Default New to Nashville

Spent the first three decades in FL, now in TN. Saw TWRA stocks trout throughout the state during the winter. Anyone know the best place to trout fish in the Nashville area? The stocking schedule mentions rivers, but I don't know the access points well.

This is definitely a different fishing style than the flats and Gulf fishing I grew up on. But middle TN is beautiful and I love exploring it.

Thanks in advance!

MitchFL - I moved here from Titusville Florida in 1998. Lived my whole life between there and Jupiter before I came up here. Welcome to God's country. Download the Navionics Web App and get familiar with the local lakes and rivers.

I'm another Florida transplant who spent his early years testing the breaking strength of tackle both in the Gulf and Atlantic. I'm guessing that is why I lean towards bass of the striped variety. Mid TN is full of excellent fisheries. Some are harder nuts to crack than others, but that is what makes it all the more rewarding, I can personally say I have learned a lot on the forum. I have also fished with quite a few members and every one has been first class angler.

Thumbs up

Start @ Caney Fork Below the Center Hill Dam.
Small Stocked trout can and will be had at Stones River below Percy Priest Dam.

Shelby Park's little Lake has Stocked Winter Trout.

Welcome To Tennessee please don't litter and leave with more than you came with whist bank fishing .

Mitch, welcome to Tennessee and the forum! I'm an X-Floridian myself, from Fort. Lauderdale to be exact. Tennessee is a great place and has great fishing. Again welcome to the forum and to Tennessee!
