Thumbs down Common Curtasey & Fishermans Respect or Lack There Of

Went out on the CR around the stones today and was fishing the bluff downstream of the mouth and catching dink after dink and a few decent 14 - 16" smallies and spots then out of the blue I hear a boat coming up the river, looks like a fisherman I said and he continues getting closer and closer on plane and decides to get off plane 100 feet from me drops his trolling motor and begins fishing as im drifting right towards these two older guys. I mean wtf theres 90 miles of river but you got to pull up right in front of me and act like you did nothing wrong thats when I knew they weren't true fisher men they were scumbags that dont give two rats about you all they wana do is catch a fish by any means necessary. I like to think im a extremely courteous angler always on plane if I go by as to not throw a big wake and stay on the opposite side of the river and never pull up within spitting distance from another boat. If you were on the cumberland today by the stones in a silver aluminum boat with a 90hp motor I hope your boat sinks and the 8ft gar that swim in the river eat you and your fishing buddy.

Default Can't Agree More

When at the Caney they come screaming up through countless boats, fish for five minutes then roar off. In my experience, the least considerate are the worst fishermen. I always secretly hope they hit those two boulders in front of the dam... of course I wish them no harm... with the sluice less likely. I can't wait till the sluice is off!!!

Im hoping for some swift cold weather in hopes of detering alot of those guys from hitting the water.
the river is 100 times better for lack of people like that though than JPP or O.H.

That rock looks like a mutant. I've never seen one close to that size. What a fish.
