Default Back on the water

Well its been a while, was at FT Polk for about a month or so.
That being said, I went to cheatham dam this morning. Did ok, skipjack were hard to find, caught 2 small and 2 large. Stripers ate the two small ones within about 2 min of hittin the bottom haha (fairly small about 20inchers). caught about 5 good cats with cut skipjack from the bigger skippies i found. not too bad of a day, water temp was about 63.

guess im going to try and chase the skips/stripers (in between deer hunting :P). I'm assuming they are headed down stream, was planning on trying cumberland city soon but dont think they have made it down there yet. any tips for this part of the year appreciated!

Haven't been in the boat for a couple weeks but will probably hit Cheatham around Ashland City on Monday. Was on the bank just above the dam last Monday and noticed a lot of surface activity in the mouth of Johnson Creek. We've been catching LM in the backs of the creeks chasing shad and catching spots on the bluff banks.
