Michael,
I think it is time to quit cutting grass and go full-time fishing, making videos and having your own "kayak fishing tv show". You would get all the girls to start watching and then they will buy kayaks.
Great video.

Haha, thanks. Our next project is a TM "how to" video since there are so many questions on the "twitch" method.

Neat video Mike. Hey what is it about those coolers that makes them do dang expensive? You can buy a lower model kayak for the price of one of those things haha.
I really am interested in this idea though, I mentioned it to someone else on the Jackson team who posted an article on facebook about doing this. I'm not a fan of the seat that comes with my Ride 115 and love the idea of having a much higher seating area. I'm not so sure how one would fit in the Ride though. I've seen several pics of coolers in yaks but always in Jackson kayaks.
Since I do want to try some waterfowl hunting this year out of the yak, having a cooler on board would be a great convenience to store game. Can I fit a Canada Goose in the smallest one?

Those very expensive coolers advertise the facts of how long they will hold ice in 90 degree heat. 6-9 days is the average (if you don't open the cooler often).
My question is...Why do you need a cooler that holds ice for 6-9 days if you are mainly using it for day trips?
I have a Coleman Marine Extreme 50 qt cooler that I keep onboard my boat. I need to have drinks available for my customers as it gets pretty warm out on the lake during the day.
It will keep ice for four days if I don't open it. I always pre-cool it by putting in jugs of frozen water the night before I load it up. Then put in my bottles of lemonade and water along with chunk ice I make in my chest freezer. This way, the drinks are crazy cold all day long for the customers and myself.
TK, sorry for segueing off of the main topic! If you need to yell at someone, yell at Jimmy cause he led me astray! (And we all know how sensitive I am to criticism....)

The coolers are extremely tough and yes will take a beating and hold ice for weeks. To me, as an accessory on a SUP or kayak they are great. They have gear tracks to install accessories, rod holders, etc. Also they would be incredible on a back packing hunting trip. Where you camp for a week or more.
Thanks for the compliments!

Jimmy no need for a cooler when duck hunting. Most of the time it's plenty cool out.

What good is a cooler if you do not open it? And if not opened, how do you know if it has ice?
