Default More Gills.

Went to my Gill spot yesterday and beat the banks in the heat until I had 60 drag pulling Gills and 8 shell crackers. I used a Bison colored Trout Magnet twitching, and under the float. Life is good!

Nice!

Is photo 1534 a pure strain? That thing has a tail a striper would be proud of.

I don't have a clue. The few lakes around that have these copper nose in them are cross breeding with northern strain Gills and shell cracker. Next time I catch some of the smaller crosses I will try and get some pics. I am getting a few shell cracker/copper nose cross....and some of what I am thinking is northern strain and copper nose cross. Some of these I catch and look at and wonder just what they are. I'm waiting for copper nose to show up at Willamsport. I guess it is a win situation for us anglers though. They are hard fighters.
