Default Couple of caney questions

Hello everybody this is my first post here on the forum. I'm 14 and live here in Lebanon. But anywho I had two questions about the caney fork. First off, I hear about everybody having huge success on the caney with the Trout magnets, but I've tried them either their 4 pound line and float but little success. Is there anything I should be doing different? And for my second question; does anybody do any good fishing down by Sparta for bass?

Are you using a fluorocarbon leader?

You can't catch them because they are seeing your line. Use a 2lb flurocarbon leader and you should start catching fish, the difference is night and day.

Tie some 4lb. fluorocarbon to that main line or better yet if you have the proper rod and reel use 2lb. mainline and leader. From what I am learning you need to make sure you are floating in the strike zone and not bumping into things like the bottom.
