Default JPP Bluegills

Got out for a quick trip today...found a bed and hit it from the bank...bison TM and 2lb test...all nice fish ended up with about a dozen for an hour of fishing...had a couple of pumpkinseeds also with amazing colors

Nice trip snowman.

Depending on how bright and vibrant the colors were you may have been catching long ear sunfish. They get confused a lot with pumpkinseeds.

Yeah, I have yet to see a true pumpkinseed in TN. They were all over MN.

I catch the little pumpkinseeds on Old Hickory mostly when using crickets

and almost near shore line.

Or maybe all this time I have been catching that longear but these guys are always little bitty.

Those long ears always look like an aquarium fish. Just a cool fish.

I'm with Mike, I don't believe I've caught a pumpkin seed since I left Michigan.
