Default New to me knot..thought I would share.

I am always looking for a better knot when tying leaders either in flyfishing or conventional fishing. Simple and holding since I fish in darkness most the time are a huge plus.

Found this one today. Japanese Figure 8 knot.

Going to start trying with my leaders to see how it fairs. Looks very promising. Way simpler than a blood knot for me and seems smaller than a surgeons.

Looks like a good know, but how well would it travel through guides? I use the Uni to Uni with good success.

Pretty cool, I've always just used a blood knot. When trolling I use a barrel swivel.
