Thumbs up Old Hickory Lake fishing report 4/18/2015

MR. Berk and I went to my cove and caught four bass on a June bug lizard and a black/chart lizard. All in 4' to 6' water and the temp was 56.7 with light winds. It looks like it will be sometime next week before I can get back out so till then good luck and GOD BLESS.............WOODY

I have always used shrimp for cat fish bait but last year I tried the koolaid on it, fantastic!

I am drinking grape Koolaid right now....and you tell me it catches fish??

Would someone explain this trick? If not that is okay. It tastes pretty good right now without shrimp.

Interesting, so its like a marinade. We used to soak shrimp in vanilla extract so i am familiar with that much. I may try that one night in the yak drifting with a couple down lines.

Thats pretty cool!
So do you make the koolaid per directions and soak the bait or do you just use it as a "dry rub"?
Its pretty amazing all the different stuff people use to catch catfish...cheese cubes, ivory soap, ect...

peel shrimp.Poor koolaid ( no sugar) on it and add a bit of water..let sit over night is best.you can ever squirt a bit of that Berkley's catfish attractant on it.

So does it give you the old tobacco hands stain after you're done fishing it?

I really want to give it a try this summer.
