I have to get caught up on reels that are on the bench. The sickness, then the Fishing Show, then an Elliptical assembly, and this weekend the Fishing Classic at Bass Pro. I should be able to get the reels cleaned off the bench in a week or two, and then I'll be getting ready by pre-fishing for the KBF Open. I thought 2015 was going to be a relaxing year, guess I was wrong.

Your supposed to block off time for important stuff like fishing.
Wish I was fishing the KBF this year but not in the cards. Should be fun.

I could get up early and go to the steam plant Saturday. I think that would be the only fishing I would try either Saturday or Sunday. Is the KBF open the one on March 14th?

Yes, March 13th&14th on Kentucky, and Barkley.

I wish it worked that way sometimes.

The bigger tournaments are getting more and more stressful. I do enjoy them, but it's a lot of money and months of research, and pre-fishing. I have no clue about either lake since I have not fished them.

Saturday morning will be in the 20s with 20MPH North winds, you all can have it. I'll be inside with the heat on enjoying a hot cup of coffee
Looks like the entire month of April excluding some weekends will be spent in Texas for a project startup so I can forget about turkey hunting and racking up lots of KW points in Spring.
I love my job and all but man.... Crappie, Hybrid pre-spawn action, turkey hunting... all lost this year. That hurts!!

Amen. That's why I said I prefer to just fish the 20 dollar local events. I don't care to risk that much cash for a big prize. If I really want that prize, I'll just save up, buy it, and in the meantime do a bunch of fishing anyway without the $150+ entry fees.

If I were not already booked to fish Guntersville that weekend I would be on the water with you. Jimmy, just quit and start fishing professionally. You can make a living that way...... I will say that after fishing Sunday in the wind I really have no urge to get on the water until it's nice, which sucks because I want to fish opening weekend.

Good luck man, if you're willing to brave that weather you deserve a trophy striper!

Thanks man! I will be out in it.
Wouldn't be the first time my lures and/or pliers have frozen to the tray in the kayak forcing me into alternative measures.
