Default Current colors in box

Currently I carry the following colors any changes you would make?

Bison, black/green, bulldog, black, purple redemption, Millie, purple haze, white, bubble gum, sassy, and sunrise (at one time I had yellow, clear sparkle, gold sparkle, and white/red)

I would add yellow in TM.
That is if you are fishing Caney Fork, the larger brown trout really like them.

I agree with yellow.
However,I have learned over the years that Browns like colors like white, chartreuse, yellow and every once in a while when it is still dark I have gotten them to hit the "glow-in-the-dark".
Stay bright for browns on Caney.
White on chartreuse jig head great combo.

Interesting topic guys, I fish the Fork quite a bit. I have been using chart powerbait eggs which work decent. I just got a TM kit with many of the colors that are mentioned here. I recently spooled all my UL gear with 4lb. fluoro. Will that size line still work good or will I see a big benefit with going to 2lb. ? The jigs for the TM are all 1/64...is there any special way to cast to get the most distance? With that light of weight it don't go to far for me, I guess that's what current is for

Trying to cast a TM with 4# test fluorocarbon line is a losing proposition. You will be far better off spooling with a good quality 2# test mono or co-polymer line.....SOS is a good brand but there are others. I would use a 2# test line and a fluorocarbon leader. The Seaguar 2# test fluorocarbon is great but expensive. The lighter the line the better your casting and catching will be.

Thanks, well I guess I wasted $ on the 4# berkley vanish flouro dang. If it will help with the trout I will get some 2#. So its better to use fluoro leader with mono or co-polymer main line vs all fluoro? I know it cheaper.

I tried the all fluorocarbon line a few years back with the Trout Magnet.....got tired of tying leaders on. I was using 2# test fluorocarbon and even that did not work out for casting such a light lure...fluro is too stiff. I also add a size B split shot about 18 inches up from the Trout Magnet to get casting distance. You will catch more fish with 2# test line and get more casting distance as well as better line management with such a light lure....just better all the way around.

I prefer to only use black heads. But trout can be funny. I have several colors.....better to be prepared than lacking the right color.

Today on the Caney I started with a black jig head and nothing. Switched to a chartreuse jig head and caught trout.

Default Chartreuse

Interesting on the chartreuse jighead... Is caney usually got some color to it? Other than gold, black, nickel what colored jigheads do you like?
