I can only imagine how nervous Merv would be in a lightning storm. Something to do with metal in the head.

The lead in his arse probably doesn't conduct electricity.

Experienced that and the older I get the spookier I become anywhere close to lightning.

Fishing slowed down incredibly overnight. I fished with gary (fisher01) and I caught two keeper crappie and a decent sized yellow bass.

I fished for about 2 1/2 hours and had 16 keepers. I broke the number one rule of fishing... Don't leave fish to find fish! I had my hole producing and thought I would try a new area, I caught a few off of the new places but I should have stayed put. They were eating chartreuse and white mister twisters and purple chartreuse on a road runner head. The lake water was nice and clear, Stewarts creek was muddy. Temps held around 62ish. All fish caught came from 4-10 on brush and rocks. I broke something nice off at the end of the night and called it quits after that.

Congrats on the catch. Yep that is a Golden Rule. I have done it also and one would think one would learn not to do that. I guess we are all looking for that greener grass....LOL. I very rarely fish JPP but it seems it is on fire. Funny how so many lakes south of it are still very cold.

JPP has been really good to me over the last couple weeks. All my fish were good size, I only had to measure two of them. I ran into my friends dad leaving the lake when I got there and he said that he probably caught 30 bass throwing a clown jerk bait on gravel points. He said he fished Thursday afternoon and had the same results. I think my grandfather and I are going tomorrow afternoon, it is his birthday I hope the muddy water stays out of the lake for one more day .
