I will try Happy during the day then. This is where I mainly fish at night and the bite usually is consistent. A friend if mine owns the property from the left of ramp and upstream a few hundred yards. Thanks for the advise.

Roy
I remember that fish.

Sailor, correct me if I am wrong but I believe Joel told me that guy was high water trolling and only kept it because he thought it was a state record?

There was another caught since then at 18.5 below the Dam on generation. It used to have a photo floating around as well. That fish was caught on I believe 6lb test, spinning rod and inline spinner.

The largest one on the fly I have heard was either last year or one before way up in the teens or bigger as well. That one was a streamer on high water fish too. Jim down at Fly South said the biggest one he's heard of to come out of the river came on a fly.

Not true. Don't know what he told folks though. One generator, bait, 1st trip. Fish eat right away. Way it usually happens. I've beat the water to a froth since then and have not reached 20 lb mark. I weighed fish on my boga grip and it was tettering on 20 lb mark. Could've been a little more or less, but was a niceun !

Regards

No sure didn't. But it was not overly long, very healthy. He was not going to release fish either, never considered it. Don't blame him; I'd probably still be sleeping with it!
