I was reffering to your first post in this thread where you caught the 10# grey fish that you hadn't seen one like before. I had figured you had caught or seen everything there is to catch in the Caney. Just curious to see what species this was, I assumed you weren't talking abrout the brown shown.

I thought the fish was and unusual color; maybe was not readily seen in pic. One thing for sure I do not need this petty crap. Old sailor is gone!

Nice fish! If you don't mind my asking, are you fishing with shad or trout for bait? I don't really do the live bait thing for trout myself, but I'm curious on what they're eating.

Sorry if I offended you, Old Sailer, I enjoy reading your posts, don't leave on my account. Things get misunderstood easily when there is only text. Default Food for thought <'TK><

Over the years this type of communications happens a lot , Someone is in a Holiday mood, Maybe even in the spirits... Someone else is very serious ... And things are taken the wrong way from something that may have been expressed differently ...

Over the years We have posts and pictures of let's say a Striper that was stated to weigh 30 Pounds ... To Seasoned Striper fisherman the fish could not have gone over 15 or 18 pounds max... Situation was a novice fisherman with his young son and just caught the biggest fish he had ever seen, And sure enough there was hot debate on it's size, etc ...

In this situation I know Old Sailor from my days guiding on the River. I would meet OS frequently at the Dam catching Skippies ... Looking at the rungs of ladder for reference OS was near the top on Stripers and Bass... Didn't know he was in to trout these days. And may not be, he may have been fishing for stripers . Don't know what rung he is on the Trout ladder maybe the first one and legitimately did not recognize the fish but what ever it was to him it was a beast!.

This morning I opened a PM from Old Sailor with him asking me to delete his membership ... I asked him to reconsider And hope he does ... He is a hell of a fisherman and knows a lot of different fisheries in Middle Tennessee..

I appreciate the posts that were added this afternoon and evening I really hope Old Sailor Reconsiders ... He is an Asset to our Fishing World .... <'TK><

As far as the trout ladder Ole Sailor is at the top of the ladder and adding more rungs onto it where he can go higher. As I have stated on here before in my opinion he is the best trout fisherman on the Caney that there is. I do hope he reconsiders as we can all learn from his vast knowledge.

In no way way did I want anyone to get offended by what said either. Nor was i questioning the length, size or whatever. I, and I assume Striperfan legitimately wanted to see a photo of the "evil" fish. I thought is sounded interesting. Maybe I misread the first post in thinking there was a photo said fish. Sorry if by using the word "beast" was in any way misleading.

I hope he stays with us and again I apologize for any misunderstanding on my part.

Finally caught two big fish about 10 miles down river at a spot I know that were in good shape. Going to try to post a pic of a really evil fish. Did not want in the boat with me but I had a 4/0 octopus drilled through his nose and he was not going any where. Did not measure fish just weighed on bogagrip snaped pic and released. Pulled boga to 10 lb mark, long lean greyish fish, do not remember catching another like it . If I get this pic posted you can thank alphahawk. If not you know who to blame.
I sure would like one of these tomorrow. 4 leaf clover, rabbits foot, horse shoe, I am ready.
