They seemed to be making headway although still about 7 feet to go.

I just wish Great Falls would stop.

TravisC and bd,
I really do appreciate the info you guys have.

jad2t, I put in at HH around noon and motored up to the steps at the end of the nature trail below the dam. The water level is down about 5' from last week but at 3k+ flow, it's still flowing pretty good.
I threw an olive bugger with a zebra midge trailing and had practically no action, just a couple curious bows. I switched to a spinning rod with a rainbow colored jerk bait in the Lancaster area. This prompted a little brown action but most fish were short striking. When I finally had a really good fish on, my drag was loose from a previous hang up and after the third jumb, and unable to get a good hook set, she spit it out. From talking with the few others on the river, seems like a few fish were caught with live worms on the bottom.
