Should be a good year of "catching". Perhaps it is time to get the cicada baits tied on soon?

Anyone seen any in the Tims, Normandy, or Woods area. I tied some up fakes for the flyrod 13 years ago and have been losing sleep ever since in anticipation. Last time we had to turn up the TV to hear it over the din, and I haven't seen a one...Help!

I still haven't seen any down my way (Spring Hill)- I keep waiting.

Adough, what part of Nashville are you in?

Has anyone seen them on the lake/shore yet?

Mike, I'm in Green hills. I live less than a mile from my parents. My son and I were there Saturday and counted dozens. Went back by Sunday and they were there by the hundreds. My yard isn't as impressive, yet.

Had to edit after getting home with my son this afternoon. Did a trip to the mailbox and we noticed something was different. Cicada's by the hundreds. He's 6, thinks it's the coolest thing!

ps, I'm unable to use the "Quick Reply" box. Any suggestions/reasons?

Default Locusts

Haven't seen any in the Crossville/Cumberland County area yet-not looking forward to trying to sleep with that racket though. Great fishbait, but the fish soon get their fill and won't hit anything you throw.

So a top water, like a popper or a buzz bait would be a good choice then right?

Or just pluck a few off the trees and put a hook through their butt and throw them on the water to let them squirm! Right? What's the best way to hook a live one?

Only a couple dozen in my yard in west Davidson Co.
No noise from them yet. The ones that end up in my (green and slimy) pool sure kick up a fuss. I can see why the fish home in on them. Can't wait to stick some in my cricket tube and hook them to a line.

They're not singing or flying yet. That will change soon, though.
