The shad activity on center hill is always very intense this time of fear but I have never seen the top water school action.

It happens. And it's amazing when it does. Sooo many bass can get in one school and you can sit and catch them cast after cast. My record is 16 casts in a row. Me and a friend caught about 150 one day and over half were on a spook. To this day it's the most magical day of fishing I've ever had. The crazy thing about it was there was a couple fishing about 75 yards from us but were fishing the bank. They had no idea of the beat down going on behind them. Finally the man saw us and he came out to join in. We just let them have it to themselves and went looking for more.

That is some wonderful fishing/catching. I absolutely love fishing for schooling fish in a feeding frenzy.

No feeding frenzy yesterday. Only one nice fish on the UL setup...but a lot of fun. The day was beautiful so I stayed about 7 hours on the water. Lot of shad still around but nothing on them.

Regards

Happy Birthday Randy (since retiring from social media for a bit I didn't get a notification). With this cold snap it should be awesome now. Rick Mcferrin had 5 solid fish on the 20th. I found two big crappie on my skinny water pattern last week. I knew it was early they should be onfire by opening day of muzzleloading!!
