I typically like a little stiffer cranking rod than most. I have two Duckett 7'6" MH. They are great at throwing my DD22/XD6

I've used the cranking stick from bass pro for years on KY lake. Now I use a medium weight carbon light bass pro for cranking. It's shallow water for the most part with current. Several good crankin' rods mentioned.
