Bluegills rule for my palate. I have eaten a ton of crappie and am sure I will eat more. Everyone always asks me for crappie and I don't mind giving them away.....and believe me I have given tons of them away. Now those Spots....I ain't giving to anyone....I love em....but in the end bluegill is the fish for me.

I've never heard of Crappie being tough. That's my main complaint about them is that they're so mushy. I prefer a bunch of whites any day over a bunch of crappie taste wise. Crappie are easier to clean though because I don't have to worry about the red muscle.
Jimmy, I meant Crappie and you are right they are not tough what I meant to say is the taste ... Now for sure the red muscle has to be removed from old scaly face , and cats, stripe etc. ... I guess I am just spoiled on walleyes. Sauger, bass large or SM And sweet gills on the huff .... <'TK><

See I'm not the only one who thinks bass tastes good!! You just have to have some culinary skills!

We ate so many bass growing up out of Priest I'm amazed they survived all these years. We ate everything we caught that was legal size. I have pictures of coolers that would make some people cry.

Randy, old buddy, Friend, pal. How do I place and order for Crappie? I haven't kept any fish in years. Been releasing some monster BG for the last 3 weeks.

If I know someone who wants fish I will ice them down...they pick them up....bring my cooler back to my house clean. Don't get much more simple than that....but I don't clean fish for anyone...LOL.
