Default JPP Wednesday afternoon

Had a corporate trip today, 12 boats.
Couple boats had 4 fish, couple had 5, four had 6.
One boat had 11, another boat had 14.
My boat had 21 and lost five or six.
Must be bad when the newest guide on the lake, has more fish than the guys who have been guiding for many more years.
Guides on Percy Priest lake don't share information or locations with me, so I have chosen to be VERY selective with whom I share information.
When I got on a very big school of hybrids, the only guide I called was Routerbob Alsup, (aka aero) a good friend who taught me how to fish for hybrids when I first started hybrid fishing 3 years ago.
He came over and his guys started catching fish immediately. We could hear them hooting and hollering across the lake!
Twice, we had five fish on at the same time!
Good time today!

It was a great afternoon on JPP. Fishing is really good right now on live bait and it is now possible to net shad again on the lake. We were on the fish pretty good and there is a guide's rule to never leave biting fish. But when Merv called and said they had five rods down, we decided to move. Fish cooperated and the fishermen got very excited!

Wow, no gps coordinates or specific locations? Really?

Just kidding.

I have caught several hybrid on crankbaits while bass fishing recently, few over 10 lbs and one was almost 12 on the bogas. They are fun to catch and there is no doubt as to that it is a hybrid when they hit.

They are defiantly in their normal spots now. You can run around the lake and find several big schools of hybrids where they should be. The live bait bite has been good for a few weeks, wouldn’t you agree? Tonight, I caught them on a 7wt & flies for 2 hrs.
