Senior license
According to TWRA officer Doug Markham, I can buy a new 2013 senior license, now that I am 65 years old, and that I no longer have to pay the daily fee at TWRA lakes that charge a daily fee. One benefit of making it to old age, huh?

I have had my senior license for 6 years and it is nice. I did not know that being a vet would get it free. I only had to pay $15 for the one time fee for the rest of my living years, which I hope will be a few more.Great deal to us older folks.

I went to Academy Sports and Dick's today. Both stores went by the 2013 fishing guide and (I looked through it also) there is nothing about veterans getting free licenses.
I did a search of the online edition, using "veteran/s and only came up with disabled (VA 30%) vets getting their fishing licenses for $10.00.
So, I guess it's $11.00, a one time fee, and then I won't have to buy all the special permits needed to fish most of the lakes in the system. AND, no more trout stamps!! YAY!!
And tk, it's DD 214......

Dakota, I have a 10% VA disability also.
I'll be satisfied with no more fishing license purchases AND no more trout stamps along with no more lake access fees since I like
e to fish Marrebone a few times each year to stock up on the wife's trouts.
