Default JPP bass fishing report 3/11

I was gonna go back to Dale Hollow yesterday, but a friend of mine has a tournament on Priest Sunday so I tagged along with him. We put in at 7 points and stayed between Elm Hill and Hobson Pike. Water temps were between 52-54. We had a pretty decent day of fishing. He wanted to check a lot of different depths and areas but one pattern certainly showed out. The bass were very shallow and on very flat banks in the creeks and pockets. All of the fish we caught were in less than 5 feet of water. We were catching them on swimbaits and swinghead jigs. We had no trouble catching keepers but the big girls were hard to find. I did catch my first buzzbait fish of the year. These fish are not far from spawning because most of the fish we caught had those red eyes they get right before they spawn.
