Went out yesterday looking for fish to put clients on today.
1st place, dropped a live shad down 15 ft, put the rod in the holder, went to bait another rod.
As I was putting the 2nd rod in the holder, 1st rod's drag started screaming.
Five minutes later, put this fat 9# hybrid on the scale then back in the lake.
Pulled the other rod in and moved a mile away to check another spot.
Ten minutes later another screeching drag, and another fat fish, 6.5# hybrid.
Again, pulled up and moved. Next two spots didn't show much, fished one of them for 30 minutes with no hits....well, one 5# catfish, not what I'm looking for.
Hit the last spot of the day, put out five rods. In 15 minutes, landed 6 more hybrids ranging from 4-7 lbs. No photos, way too busy for that.
After I released the last fish, I decided that was enough. Pulled lines and headed for the dock.
Now, I hope those fish stay in the relative vicinity so when I get there with clients today, they can have the same fun I did.
