Default Percy Priest Crappie Troll

I went to Percy Priest yesterday afternoon to do a little trolling for crappie. Luckily some cloud cover kept the heat down and it was quite enjoyable. I managed 8 keeper crappie and released 1 short. Also caught several white bass, two hybrids, probably 7-8 yellow stripe and one 14 inch largemouth released. The biggest crappie on the right in the picture was just a hair over 14 inches and the smallest was a little over 10 inches. I was trolling 200 series Bandit crankbaits in 14-16 foot of water at 2.2-2.5 mph. After loading up the boat and getting everything secure, I looked up and saw two little bucks just 40 yards from me without a care in the world. A fun afternoon.

The buck looks like it will be a good'un when he matures. Some good looking crappies. I wish I could go but I can't take the heat

The natural colors were working best. Things like the baby bass and anything shad colored. I tried some bright colors but had no luck. Didn't try anything crawfish colored. Good luck!
