If its an outboard its a single bolt to remove and install another...however seldom do outboards need a trim tab replacement unless catastrophic type failure...then its the least of your worries.

Boat Trim Tabs can be electric or Hydraulic ... The Electric units is what I installed on my Guide boat. Easier and cheaper than Hydraulic ... See attachment Below... TK
