Lucky ... What maybe should have happened is if you had defined your statement ... The Dems may have an Idea on "whats good for the country" .. Hence, Congresswoman Cortez, etc ... See how this came across especially since you are an Independent ..

My take on Independents .. The GOP (for most folks have heard this all their lives but does not Know what it stands for, especially INDEPENDENTS) It is abbreviation for the Grand Old Party...Independents have not studied the Political Platforms of either Party... They do not know what they stand for ..

The Republicans stand for our Constitution that was engineered by some very smart people over 250 years ago .. Electoral College, States rights and sovereignty, and less Federal Government control and laws..

The Dems want total control of your thoughts and your life, .. the way .. To control what you eat, drink, watch on Media outlets ..etc basically Socialism and tries to keep our proud black population on THEIR PLANTATION just for the votes . But in Actuality Obama or any Dem has done nothing for this community except offer hand outs ... Not Jobs ... We know who has helped the Black Community more than any Dem ... Lincoln and Trump and they were and are both Republicans ...

My Dad was a die Hard Dem.. Now he was raised during the Depression and had a Government job all of his life ... He could not understand how big business created jobs and pay checks to support the Fed $$ in taxes .. We always sparred on this subject ... But like me he hated Communism, some how he pictures a communist as a Russian but could not relate that socialist and communist were the same.. But any Independent who runs for Office always depletes the volume of support from the other two parties ... The Independent always loses ... And sorry to say even Teddy Roosevelt who ran on the Bull Moose Party election in 1912, the progressive party (carried only 27% of the vote).. Teddy formed this party after loosing the Republican nomination To Taft.. Teddy was our 26th president from 1901 until 1909...

I tried to kill every Communist I could in 1968 during the TET Offensive during the Vietnam War, I was full of Piss and vinegar and Young... For most of you look it up, Our history isn't taught anymore in our politically correct schools .. Socialism, Communism ... Look up the Marx Doctrine... But to be honest we didn't want to be there and the South Vietnamese didn't want us there .. All political .. War is good for the Economy ... but as of the latest statistics (2008) it took 58,220 US Soldiers lives ?

But I am sure today My Dad would turn over in is grave if He knew that we are actually considering voting for a Socialist for President.. Especially after reading about the Governor . from VA. who wants to kill newborns after they have left the mothers womb ...

Now I am a registered Republican ... Now with that said it doesn't mean I agree with everything that is put out by the GOP.. I have voted for local Dems on certain subjects ... When I think our local Republican's who are pushing certain laws for their political agenda .. But I am not an Independent when it comes to Federal elections .... There again I really don't understand when some one says they are an Independent ... Please take a stand ! I know there are different levels on both sides of the Aisle ... Moderates and Extremest. Far left and right of Center... But again study the platforms and don't just float around like a Snowflake ... No pun intended...

I guess I have vented enough ... And I don't mean to run anyone off from this site because they don't have the same politics that I do ... But I remember seeing JFK shot in Dallas and Ruby shooting Oswald live on TV in November of 1963.. I am pushing 3/4 of a century of age, I have seen a lot (including when Old hickory lake was formed in 1957) And I was an Assistant Manager of a Standard Oil/ Chevron Full Service Station in the early 60's when we had three Restrooms .. Women, Men and colored around the back as well as two water fountains in Savannah, Ga.And Party Line telephones.. And the first TV we had was 1949 Emerson and we would get up early just to see the Indian Chief Icon Test pattern appear on the screen... And I can't say enough about Howdy Doody and Buffalo Bob !! This was in Rock Hill, SC. .. For Ref. I went to 15 schools before graduating from High School and have lived in every state in the South... I could write a book ...

I cannot believe the direction we are going Politically ... I guess the Millennial's (Snow Flakes) Don't have a clue about our past .. But you can't learn from the Future ...

My hand is over my heart to all the Vets that have taken on the Middle East In the past two decades... And yes a lot of these were born In this Century but they understood what freedom cost even at an early age ... But I am sure a Patriotic family was behind them .. I am glad you are receiving the respect and care and understanding when you returned to State side...


So For Lucky I am sad to lose you ... And I am sure you would have stated your reply differently if you had known That I take my country seriously... And to be Honest Trump is the only one who can beat the Dems , And yea he is rude and pompous but he has done more for this country than any other President has since Reagan !!...
