I talked to my boat mechanic again yesterday. He told me that he inspected every cylinder and they all look great. He put new gaskets on and all cylinders were within 2lbs of each other with a compression check. He's just waiting for the injectors to come back and put everything back together. It looks like I got lucky this time. I think by not continuing to run my motor saved me a lot of money. I know my boat and while it was hardly noticeable, I knew I was down just a very small amount of power. Had I been by myself that day and not had 2 livewells full of water, I don't think I would have noticed any difference. Without the added weight of my 300lb best friend and all the extra water weight I'm sure my boat would have planed out just like it always has and I wouldn't have known any better.
