Default Crappie time.

It’s that time of year. Hit Nickajack tailrace and found thousands of 11 inch white bass....yeah I know not too big for white bass. But with the rods I use it was an absolute ball. Mixed in with the stripes were a lot of crappie. After 6.5 hours on the water I had 25 crappie....which all were released.....rare for me to keep fish these days. I had to wade through well over 100 white bass to catch the crappie. All crappie were around 12 inch mark...some going 13 inches. Caught the fish on a Sow Bug Trout Magnet and a lure I got out of Japan that shows a lot of promise. It is Ring Kick Tail by Cultiva. It is a 2 inch paddle tail that is infused with some attractant...no mess to it as it is infused in the plastic. This lure is advertised to catch fish on the fall. Well...it does just that. Fish hit this thing on the fall and they hang on. A great day!
