That was a good one.
I really like JPP. For one its really close to the house and its nice to be on the water in just a few minutes. Another thing I like about it is the shoreline isn't developed. Its a pretty lake with lots of wildlife that you normally only see in wild places - got to see osprey fishing this week, and the loons are still migrating through too. I also like all the islands - makes for a lot of varied fishing. And the fishing is really, really good. I can go out just about anytime and catch a mess of crappie (my best day ever was in August last year) and bass, stripers is pretty good too. I generally only fish during the week, so the crowds aren't bothersome - sometimes during the week in the summer in the AM you might look out and not see another boat. (the nonsense seems to start up around 11) And in fact it was not overrun with boats this week, it just seems that there were a couple of boats that would have cast into my live well if I left the lid open….
