I lived there for 3 years while finishing up at TTU and fished a lot at Cane Creek Park. I never caught any big bass in there but always caught plenty and I was bank fishing. I've heard reports of a few 7 and 8 pounders coming out of there but I do not know if they're true. I do know that sometimes I'd be fishing it as the sunset and saw some fierce feeding out in the lake out of reach. I was told by TTU's Wildlife Fisheries people that they've found Striped Bass in there and their guess is people catch them in the Caney and dump them in the lake. That lake gets stocked with Trout in the Winter and there still may be some leftover this time of year.

If you really want to do some good fishing for Trout head to the Caney Fork River. It's only about a 20 minute drive. Get a set of waders and you can walk that river for miles just pay very close attention to the generation schedule of the Center Hill Dam. DO NOT try to wade the river on high water!
