I have to say this, medium heavy rods don't get it with those rigs. I had to go out and buy heavy action 8 ft rods.
You still can't get a lot of distance, just too much wind resistance.
But, you will get a fish's attention when it hits the water!
I've got some new swimbaits that I'm itchin to try but Sumner county keeps cancelling school because some of the roads in northern Sumner county are still iced in too bad. That keeps me at home watching the little one while Mama sleeps after working the night shift.
It looks like I'll get to go out on Wednesday morning with my new striper partner. We'll be looking for some stripers to catch to win a tournament this coming Saturday.
