Sounds like we use almost the same set up. I normally use 4# test and mostly flurocarbon.
Number 6 tru turn hook in gold.
I will try the night crawler.
There is an old road bed that crosses the lake so I figure that is where I need to be concentrating my efforts.
I think where I fail is in the patience category. I am always thinking... well I could catch bream over there......
The lake is 175 acres and over time has lost much of it's cover. There is a rip rap levee that drops off to the deepest part of the lake but honestly I haven't had much luck on that end.
