Default Williamsport fishing report 06/09/2014

Put the kayak in at Blue Cat today for a little exploring and Gill fishing. Last week I spent most of it at Laurel Hill using the si to see if any Gills had shown up on the beds I have marked down there...they are not there yet. This side imaging makes me want to launch the kayak even though I may be a little tired...lazy...that day. It just puts a whole new perspective on fishing for me....and anything that makes me want to kayak more is a good thing. I also need to mention since TK cut my trailer down for me I am not as stressed about loading it back onto the trailer....it has made a big difference. I caught all the 7-8 inch bluegill I wanted today. They were really nice fish for Blue Cat. They came off of a bed and if you look at the pic of the bed they came off the part of it that is closer out in the lake. If you look close you can see the little bright dots in each bed...those are Gills. If the bed was really full up you would see those bright dots lit up all over it. The good thing about this is I knew where to cast for the spot that held the most fish. I got a shot of what I think is a big bass holding on a depression......most assuredly a fish and I think it is high probability a big bass. I also have a shot of one of the dozens of schools of crappie I ran across today. I know they were crappie because when you cast into them that is what you catch. The lake is just covered up with those things and 98% of them are 9 inch fish. I am hoping this weather gets into more stable pattern so I can get to play with this si everyday....LOL. Life is good!

Regards
