Default JPP Wading 04-14-14

Decided to fish today before the front moves in. Was able to get out there this afternoon from 4:00-6:00. Everything caught on 3/32 blue/chartreuse jig, 4lb. test. Same type jig I've been using for last week, haven't fished with anything else. My philosophy, when its working well, why fix it. Today the fish were schooled up right next to the bank, 1-2' of water. Was catching yellow stripe, almost every cast, ended up keeping 5 of the larger ones. Every once in a while I would catch a crappie, caught 10 keepers and released 1 small one. My first under 10" crappie in a week. All the crappie and yellow stripe that I kept were females. I would think the change in weather will slow fishing this week.
