I fished a spot on JPP yesterday that has a lot of brush. The third cast produced a 2.5-3 pound largemouth on a purple/chart. crappie magnet. The ten casts after that I had 2 keeper crappie in the basket on the electric chicken crappie magnet. After that it started to rain and the sun ducked behind some clouds. I put on a black/chart. crappie magnet. Then I hit the honey hole of crappie. For and hour or so I was catching them every cast. I had 22 9.5-9.999999999 inch crappie, but I got 17 keepers. Four of them were bigger that 13 inches. The black crappie hit before dusk, and the white crappie hit right at dusk. Most of them were males, but 6 of them were females. All 4 of the 13 inches had eggs in them. So the best lure was a 1/16 ounce double cross jighead with a black/chart crappie magnet.
