I went out this morning by myself again and what day this one was.It started real nice with little to no wind and partly cloudy sky but the bite was slow until the sun started coming above the trees. I made a 1/2 mile run up the lake from lock 3 ramp to a new spot near a big marina and the fish were there but the bite was slow to none. So I came back about a 1/4 mile to another spot where I know the fish were at and pick up my first 1.46lb LM bass and I know better then lip a bass with a crank bait in its mouth with me with the shakes. Yelp it happen me and the bass hook on the same bait and the hook in my little finger up to the bend in the hook. First I got the bass unhook and in the live well then cut the line and now try to get the hook out of my finger.I was going to take some pic's but that was the hand I held the camera with so that was out. I tried backing it out but it went deeper so I had to push it up and out so I could pinch the barb closed then get the hook out finally then tie it back on and go back to fishing. I caught the next LM bass on the next cast and it was a 1.21lb bass and I started to crank in fish one after another for the next hour and all on the #5 shad rap in black & silver on a fast retrieve.So till tomorrow.........................woody
