I have a bag of the trick worms but haven't yet gotten around to buying hooks big enough for them. I use the finesse worms with a charlie brewer spider jighead (1/8 oz) and it's a great combo. This is my go to, and most productive, method of bass fishing any time of the year. I'd like to find a jighead similar to that but with a bit wider of a gap in the hook for hooksets on larger bass. It seems that a lot of hooksets that result in one jump and the bass is gone are on larger size bass and it's frustrating. I know I know... fishermen always say the biggest one got away right? haha

Nomad - check the replies in the 'fishing gear' forum about fishfinder advice. I did some math to give examples of knowing how far away from the boat what you're seeing on the screen is. Knowing this, I set mine to the 200kHz setting and that way I know that in 12 feet of water what Im seeing is at most roughly 4 feet away from me in any direction. I tested out this theory that morning and it works. Either I was catching the fish I'd see or feel the worm scraping up against the structure I was spotting.
