Once my rod holders are set, I will use buckets as opposed to bag or a plate on my 90hp for slowing down. Hang one off each front dock tie then use the big motor.

Travis, If I slow down anymore I would be just about be stopped , .4 MPH is pretty darn slow ... I do not have any problem maintaining any trolling speed I want with my 50 HP 4 stroke with my auto trolling plate ... And my paddle wheel Raytheon fishfinder does a pretty accurate job checking my speed .. ( Also have a Hand held Garmin that I have checked my sppeed with .... But if I am going to make a major High $$ purchase ... I don't want my Gps speed constantly Ramping back and forth lets say from 1.2 to 1.8 ... That's not acceptable, when others don't...
