Every time a truck dumps trout into one of the winter stocking areas they release a couple of really nice trout...probably less than a dozen at each location. From what I have read and been told by trout biologist if a stream has a good food source those stockers can grow an inch a month for a few months. Normandy tailrace has a huge crawfish population and the trout that were put there in November have some good shoulders on them by May and June. But at Percy they are not there long enough to do much growing at all.
